Digital training: Lead professional meetings online

Participate in two live training sessions that provide important tools, methods and rules for managing meetings online in the most effective way. 

Introduction and description

Having meetings online is essential today. Of course, there are many benefits, such as everyone can participate no matter where they are, but there are also many challenges. In this two-step short training program, you will learn how to create and manage meetings that are interactive, efficient and professionally facilitated.

 

You will learn

  • Benefits of online meetings: - there are many!
  • Steps to prepare: how to invite participants, plan content and confirm you are technically ready.
  • Create a professional look for online. We review options for setting and optimising your sound, lights, image and background.
  • How to start your meeting.
  • Using presentation images, digital whiteboards and chat features.
  • Managing digital group rooms.
  • Facilitating dialogue and guide the meeting forward.
  • Concluding in a forward-looking way with clear objectives.

 

Course leader

Eva Åberg is a consultant in leadership, innovation, organisational development at Audiendo. She has previously worked as television reporter for SVT and TV4. She has extensive experience in leading meetings and facilitating workshops in both in physical and digital formats.

 

For whom is the course suitable?

Everyone who wants to start, or become even better at, leading online meetings.


Time

The course is conducted live in two parts. The first session lasts 2.5 hours. Then, about two weeks later, the second session is 2.0 hours. In between these sessions you practice your new skills by managing a shorter meeting with other course participants and launching one with colleagues or friends who have not attended the course.

A maximum of eight people will participate at a time.

 

This is how the distance course is composed:

  • The course is conducted online.
  • Modern and interactive tools allow you to ask questions and discuss them in groups.
  • The time required is described above.
  • The course leader is present during the entire live program.
  • You need to have a good connection with your computer with a webcam that can broadcast sound and video.
  • A link to participate in the digital meeting room will be sent to you well in advance of the training for you to test your connectivity.
  • Breaks and individual work are included in the specified time of the course.

 

What do you need?

No prior knowledge is needed but the willingness to conduct online meetings professionally in the future is required.

This program is conducted with Zoom. Before the course begins, please download Zoom and register for a free account. Or you can run Zoom from a Chrome browser. You will receive a link sent to your email address in connection with the course.

You may be conducting meetings using another tool in your organisation. If that is the case, you should use these techniques with that tool when you manage your shorter meeting. Your IT department can help you install any preferred video conferencing tools.
